I am sat here - New Year's Eve, 11.18pm suffering with a heavy cold. There are fireworks going off somewhere in the distance, I can hear the occasional reveller shouting out as they pass on by and my DD's are sat downstairs watching a DVD with DD2's bf, DS is on XBOX live playing a game against his cousin - and laughing loudly - and DH is playing Footballer Manager 12 on the PC in the bedroom.
We sound boring, but we have had our fill of forced revelry. DD1 is suffering with somekind of food poisoning and had to cancel her plans, whereas the rest of us opted for a quiet evening. DH and I have watched two movies tonight and we are going to watch the New Year celebrations on TV soon.
Anyway, I digress, this blog is not a new concept; plenty of people have done this kind of thing in the past, and I daresay plenty will be starting afresh like me tomorrow. I got a pretty good camera for my 40th back in May and have never really let myself have some serious fun with it. The other night I suddenly decided that after the crap year we have had - 2 deaths in 4 months and then a cousin's wife committing suicide in the summer - that I was going to really live this coming year. I have so many things I am starting, some will appear on my blogs, some will be talked about in other internet based places and some will be private.
I am pretty excited about them all, and I am looking forward to doing this photograph everyday kind of blog.
Like I have said, this is not a new idea, some people are probably bored of it now, but it feels fresh and exciting to me and I intend to have some fun with it. I can't guarantee that I will upload everyday, but I will take a photograph everyday and try to upload regularly. So, until I manage to upload my first pic I bid you farewell and a Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!
